The Minds Eye Tarot
The ability of artists to create their own style and express a certain kind of theme or feeling is a special skill indeed - and Olivia Rose (the artist/deck creator for this beautiful deck) demonstrates this wonderfully.
When you receive this deck, the detail, the colours and the evocative imagery (quite ethereal with a strong feminine focus) capture your attention. The card stock is lovely to the touch (linen finish), but I did initially wonder if it affected the strength of the colours on the cards - they seem a bit darker than I expected, but they are still so stunning nonetheless - gold edging on the cards offers even more indulgence when you use the cards.
The overall package for this set is robust and lovely - the cards are protected, the guidebook is substantial (pictures of the cards in the guidebook are in colour) and the two piece box is great - this adds to the feel that this deck is special and should be enjoyed, appreciated and used often.
This deck is a mass market produced deck, but this artist has also created other decks in a similar style (Hearts Eye Oracle and The Mermaids Purse Oracle - indie decks) - useful to know if this deck is calling to you!
