Starlore Astronomical Tarot (Minor Arcana Only)
O.K - let me start this little review by talking about the backs of these cards - its the first thing I noticed when I first saw this deck (I often notice the card backs first!) - they are like a sparkling galaxy or an ocean of my favourite blues - absolutely stunning!
Although this deck is a minor arcana only deck, it still packs a wonderful punch - using information about mythology, astrology, constellations, tarot and cartomancy to weave a fascinating and eye opening story for each card. I love that it uses playing card suits (hearts, diamonds, spades, clubs) and tarot suits (cups, pentacles, swords, wands) - overlaying yet more interpretation and meaning into every card.
There is a sense of history, lore and times since passed with this deck - and it feels like a privilege to have the opportunity to gaze into the stars and the cards in this way.
There is a keywords mini booklet that comes with the deck, but I’ve bundled the deck with the companion guidebook - which provides so much more information - particularly divination information for each card (rich with guidance, insight and advice). I think it adds so much to the knowledge and satisfaction that you get from this deck.
Beautiful to shuffle (maybe the reduced number of cards actually helps with that), and a joy to use - I know these beautiful decks will find wonderful homes, and perhaps create a new appreciation for the stars and constellations that shine upon us.

STARLORE is a 56-card deck of revived and remastered engraved illustrations from historical artwork (published by John Lenthall, Fleet Street London) that is over 300 years old.
