The Ink Witch Tarot Deck (1st Edition)

NZ$99.00

I love discovering new decks through the eyes of others - the Ink Witch tarot is one of those decks for me. I’d seen this deck being used and photographed beautifully by other people - and even though I hadn’t deliberately sought it out, it kept showing up and capturing my attention. I couldn’t ignore it. Once I’d had the opportunity to use it myself, I appreciated the rawness, the uniqueness, the modern touches, the layers of symbolism and the simplicity of the deck. It plays well with other decks and for me, has been a revelation in terms of card interpretations via the PDF guidebook. And I love the card back illustration/colour scheme. I’ve enjoyed it as a tool for divination as well as for word smithing and shaping stories and interpretations for readings. Love it!

Note: This deck and The Endless Oracle are created by the wonderful Eric Maille. I’m so proud to be able to add these beautiful tools to the MoonAmaia collection - wow!

_____

From the website of the deck creator (Eric Maille):

The Ink Witch Tarot Deck is a standard 78-card tarot deck, modeled largely after the popular format of the Waite Colman-Smith deck.

Each card was originally illustrated with traditional methods by hand, using ink and watercolor. Within them, you’ll find a surprisingly vivid spectrum of warm and cool gray tones, with rare and subtle hints of color scattered through out.

Ink Witch features traditional themes and symbols found in many tarot decks, with a few modern twists. You’ll encounter illustrations that reference Norse and Greek myth, pagan witches, fairy tales, Arthurian legend, as well as the subtle but powerful magic of every day life in the 21st century.

FAQs:

The cards are standard Tarot size, measuring 2.75x4.75 inches.

A guidebook is available via PDF - a link to download the guidebook will be emailed to you following the purchase of this deck.
