The Symdala Tarot

NZ$122.00

Symbology is something that has resonated with me from a young age. Being able to see and recognise something and then derive meaning from it is a natural divinatory skill. The use of colour provides another layer of information.

This unique deck draws on the concepts of symbology and mandala structures, along with colour. And the cards are also round - which always fascinates me! The ability to read these cards intuitively is high, however, I gotta say, the guidebook is fantastic! Would be great for beginner readers too.

It’s such a fun deck to read with and jam packed full of visual triggers, but also each card confirms other layers of information to add depth to any interpretation you may have (eg. astrology references).

Shuffling a round card deck can take a little bit of concentration to start with, but I love the change - and the yellow edging gives a bright and determined energy to every shuffle.

This deck is an absolute joy (like all of Jennifer’s decks!), full of literal rainbows and knowledge to learn. A feast for the eyes - and the more I use it, the more I appreciate this wonderful deck!

Deck specifications and information (via the Deck Creators (Ferocious Ink, Jennifer Cooper Steidley) shop on Etsy)

The Symdala Tarot is a 78-card circular Tarot deck consisting of divinely inspired mandala patterns created from the traditional symbology of the Tarot.

The word "mandala" is a Sanskrit word meaning "circle" or "container of sacred essence." Mandalas have been created and used by a variety of cultures and religions dating back to the 4th century. A typically circular geometric configuration of symbols, mandalas are most often used as a tool both for meditation and to aid in one's spiritual development.

Both the Major Arcana and Minor Arcana cards alike have been designed using the typical symbols found in those cards (based on the Rider Waite Smith structure). The numerology of each card has also been taken into consideration to determine how many "spokes" each mandala wheel wants to have.

SPECIFICATIONS:

• 78 circular cards measuring 4 inches by 4 inches

• Cards printed on high-quality 350 GSM card stock

• Cards finished with matte lamination for a smooth, glare free finish
