Ritual Tarot (Marked Edition)
Seriously, one of the most special and beautiful decks in my collection to date. In your own hands, you can feel how special this deck is. I’ve not been a big fan of collage art in the past, but this deck draws you in so much, you don’t notice that it is collage art - every element on the card is meaningful, beautiful, draws the eye. And I think I’ve mentioned elsewhere that everytime I use this deck, things go BOOM - so divine, so accurate, an absolute pleasure to read with.
This version of the Ritual tarot deck is marked, meaning the card names are noted on the backs of the cards - its done well, not easy to spot straight away. The guidebook is great - enough to provide you with insight into the cards, but not too much to ensure your intuition can fly with the images on the cards. Speaking of flying, the cards are very slippery, so be careful on your first shuffles. The cards are slightly wider than the traditional tarot size which I actually love - more room to make the art on the card sing!
Tiera May, the deck creator, is such an inspirational artist - and lovely person. Please follow her online for more amazing art and inspiration.
I am so honoured to be offering this deck as part of the MoonAmaia collection of decks.

From Tiera May’s (the Deck Creator’s) Etsy Site (edited slightly):
THE RITUAL TAROT began as a series of analog collages inspired by the symbolism of the Major Arcana - a complex visual narrative emerged; a language that is distinctly archaic but also holds space in the present; a story that honors the old gods and the new; a voice that speaks to the human psyche - not with words but with symbols.
THE NEW *MARKED EDITION: The format follows the tradition of the street magician’s marked deck of playing cards and features card names hidden (in plain sight) on the backs of each card in the deck. Titles are discreetly incorporated on the card backs in such a way that you don't notice the names unless you're consciously looking for them.
The card faces in the Ritual Tarot are NAMELESS and do not feature titles or numbers - only imagery. This marked card format allows deck users to familiarize themselves with the cards while also developing their own individual relationship with the symbolism of the Tarot.
Deck Specifications:
THE RITUAL TAROT follows the structure and symbolism of the Rider Waite-Smith Tarot and the Crowley Thoth Tarot: *80-cards in total (including the recent addition of the bonus Lust card and the new Fool’s Journey card). 24 Major Arcana, 56 Minor Arcana.
CARDS: Cards measure 3.5 inches x 5 inches. The card stock for this edition has been upgraded to 410gsm ultra black core card stock. Card backs feature each card’s corresponding name hidden within the zodiac wheel.
